Silicon Valley DECA LACE Countdown

Silicon Valley DECA held its annual leadership conference, LACE (Leadership and Competitive Excellence) conference from November 14-16 at the San Jose DoubleTree by Hilton. As a Silicon Valley DECA officer, I was amongst the team of students in charge of organizing the conference. The conference was definitely a huge success and a great learning experience! Motivational speaker Scott Greenberg and Stanford University professor Jennifer Aaker were both keynote speakers at the conference and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet both of them.

Here are some countdown pictures I designed to post on Silicon Valley DECA's social media accounts before LACE!

We decided to redesign the Silicon Valley DECA logo and I delegated the task to myself to capture the real essence of Silicon Valley DECA. Silicon Valley DECA embodies the tech subculture in the Bay Area and the competitive mentality of Silicon Valley students to strive towards success as entrepreneurs. Keeping this in mind, I felt the Golden Gate Bridge was an apt symbol of Silicon Valley DECA.

Mike Honda at STAR Awards!

This past weekend was STAR Awards, and I got the chance to meet Mike Honda, another candidate running for Congress!
STAR Awards is an annual event where the city of Cupertino recognizes businesses and individuals in Cupertino that have made an impact on the city. STAR Awards is also a great networking opportunity; many business professionals are in attendance. Every year, a few officers from my high school's DECA chapter attend this event. STAR Awards is a great opportunity to network; I even got the chance to meet Mike Honda.
